Dr Ksenija Milicevic Neumann, together with Sarah Fleischer, founded the Tozero startup, headquartered in Berlin, intending to develop a leading European company for the recycling of lithium-ion batteries.

Thanks to the leading European pre-seed financing fund Atlantic Labs, the Tozero startup has collected EUR 3.5 million.

– The investment is a big step for Tozero, because we are the first European startup in the field of battery recycling and it will enable us to build a prototype for technology testing to the end of the future capacity expansion – said Milicevic Neumann.

The facility will be located in Munich, the city which is expected to produce a third of lithium-ion batteries for the European market by 2030.
