Deep Blue Sea Studio, recognized for the name of their software, IdeaBuddy, will be one of the five startups from Serbia at the GITEX Future Stars 2021 event within Expo 2020 Dubai.
Interested clients and investors will be shown a new way of planning business ideas, brought by IdeaBuddy.
– Now is definitely the right time to promote a platform like ours, considering that more and more people are striving toward starting their own business. We expect to attract attention from people who can recognize our vision and future potentials and to have new business opportunities open for us – Nemanja Zunic, the founder and general manager, says for eKapija.
He has acquired his experience in marketing and finance at international companies in Serbia and abroad. His specialty is the development of business ideas and he has turned his knowledge and experience into IdeaBuddy.
What is IdeaBuddy?
IdeaBuddy is made so that it can be used by users and organizations of various profiles, he clarifies. It is primarily meant for people who want to launch their own startup or small business and who have no special business knowledge, but instead need tools that would guide them through the entire process, step by step. The platform is made so as to be very easy and fun to use, so the entire planning process seems interesting and exciting.
– In addition to them, our platform is also used by universities throughout the world for entrepreneurship and business lessons, as well as business accelerators/incubators, which use our tool to teach their trainees how to develop their idea into a profitable business. Our next goal is for IdeaBuddy to start being used in corporations as well, for the planning of new products and services, considering that the process of idea development is universal, and our app covers all those steps – Zunic adds.

Our portal’s interviewee has spent nearly his entire career in corporations and has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, so he has started his own “business on the side” several times. Precisely three years ago, he was working on another project that he wanted to launch, on which occasion he was searching the internet for a tool that might help him develop his idea in detail, make financial projections and validate the concept of the idea.

– That’s when I realized that such a thing did not exist in the market, except for templates for the preparation of a business plan and “ideation” tools with notes, which don’t offer a custom-made solution, but offer more of a generalist approach. That’s where the idea to make IdeaBuddy comes from – Nemanja Zunic reveals.
His team also features Iva Zunic as part of the management, who is in charge of finance and B2B sales. The development team features three talented young men who are developing the app, and another four to five standing associates are employed along with them. The associates help with the marketing, sales and customer support.
Aim – “home brand”
When it comes to the plans for the future, Nemanja Zunic says that they are continuing to develop IdeaBuddy, since the platform has not yet been completed, and that they are considering several directions for the future development.
– Furthermore, our ambition is to continue increasing the income and trying to secure the investments that would enable us to expand our team and to have a local presence in our target markets, such as the USA. Our end goal is to become a “home brand” and the no. 1 platform for business planning, so that, when a person wants to open, for example, a hairdressing salon, a café, or an online store, the first thing that comes to their mind would be IdeaBuddy – our portal’s interviewee concludes.
