Serbian startup Trusteed has placed in the finals of one of the most prestigious startup contests for students in the world – University Startup World Cup in Denmark.
Trusteed was launched in March 2018 with the beginning of the incubation program at the Startup Center at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade.
– We will present our idea within the AI/Big Data category and compete for the award of USD 25,000 – the startup says.
Trusteed's field of activity is social network data science technology – the analysis and deep understanding of Instagram big data to the end of improving the efficiency of Instagram user profiles. The Trusteed team consists of Nikola Curcic, Bojan Vasiljevic, Jovan Milovanovic, Dijana Janosevic and Stefan Petricevic.
University Startup World Cup (USWC) is an international contest, organized for the fourth time by Venture Cup, a Danish non-profit organization with more than 16 years of experience in organizing university startup contests, mentorship programs and support programs. The contest aims to connect international students and create a network that will inspire them, evaluate their ideas and help them turn their academic knowledge into fast-growing sustainable companies. The focus is on entrepreneurship as a practical discipline, and the participants have the opportunity to meet experienced entrepreneurs and business people who will provide them with valuable advice.
The contests takes place between October 8 and 12 in Copenhagen, where over 80 best teams from the entire world will gather in order to connect with entrepreneurs, investors and experts, while developing and evaluating their own business ideas. At the end of the contest, the winning team is pronounced the best world university startup.
The contest also includes the High Tech Summit, a semi-conference, semi-fair, where companies, startups, organizations and universities can learn about the latest technological achievements, present their own ideas and generate new ones together. Trusteed will present its software solution before more than 700 tech companies.
