A bridge 450 meters long connecting the Zemun Quay and Great War Island, a restaurant with an observation deck, a complex of pile dwellings serving as restaurants and holiday hostels... All this is part of a project of the Zemun borough that should be decided upon by the aldermen of the City of Belgrade. In order for this footbridge to Lido to be built, it is necessary to first adopt amendments and supplements to the Master Plan.
We already wrote about this project before, and eKapija now shows you how this bridge could look like.
Milosav Misa Stamenov, a member of the Council of the Zemun borough and the project author, reiterates that all designs are completed and ready for adoption, adding that the project has also been presented to First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.
As Stamenov explains to eKapija, the entire revenue from tourist visits to the island, rental of rooms and space within pile dwellings and other similar services would go directly to ecosystem preservation projects on that island. The next move following the adoption of aforementioned amendments and supplements to the Master Plan would be to make a Request for Proposal.
