Montenegro gets European Dubai - Azerbaijan invites Serbian companies and staff to build luxurious complex One and Only in Herceg Novi

While we are waiting for sheikhs or some others to start building in Serbia, Montenegro is supplying construction material.

The encouraging thing is that there is no sufficient manpower in Montenegro so it will be an opportunity for our citizens to get jobs.

After luxurious Porto Montenegro in Tivat, construction of the first ten facilities of the Lustica Bay resort, built at the Tivat part of peninsula, started. The investor announces it will be a small city above Tivat. Contract with Azerbaijani Azimont Investment has been signed these days with the Government of Montenegro.

Kerzner International Holdings is the main investor. The leading international entrepreneur and operator of resorts, casinos and luxurious hotels at various locations, contracted today to build Kumbor-based first One & Only resort in Europe . Kerzner International contracted with representative of state oil company Azerbaijan (SOCAR), and Azmont was hired for the project in Podgorica.

Megalomaniac or not, the company announced construction of new Dubai in Boka, in Herceg Novi settlement, Kumbor. Luxurious hotel, suites, villas, spa centers, marine, golf courts will be constructed.

Since construction starts August 1 2013, investor in today`s Novosti, published pre-qualification tender for all the interested contractors. They should email contact to tenderMNE@mlcqs.com and info@azmont.com. After that, the interested will receive an official document of pre-qualification process.

ALEC Montenegro" ( "Al Jaber LEGT Engineering&Contracting") will carry out employment. They have announced they will employ staff from neighboring countries.

They need construction staff, mechanical staff, project planning engineers, designers, health sand safety staff, accounting staff and commercial staff.

Translators and logistics coordinators will have the opportunity to get jobs.

A call is interested for suppliers of construction material because the investor needs suppliers for mechanical and eletrical equipment, stone, marble, hydro equipment, aluminum material, roof constructions, hydro insulation.

Increased investment, deadlines shorter

Azmont Investments will ,instead of planned and agreed EUR 258 mil, invest some half a billion iin the project One and Only Montenegro hotel resort in Kumbor. It will be on a three-year period, instead of eight.

Montenegrin Prime Minister, Milo Djukanovic, met three days ago in Milocer, Sol Kerznerom, President of Kerzner International, to celebrate the signing of the contract with Azmont Investment on intention of the company to build a luxurious complex in Kumbor.

- Investor announces that by the end of October this year, 500 people will be hired at the site and next year the number will increase to 3000 people. After completion, the investor guarantees 1200 people will find a job here - Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic said after signing the contract.

The first stage should be completed May 1, 2016.

Sandy beaches and luxury at every corner

The project, when finished, will be the biggest tourism investment in Europe. The area ground facilities will occupy will total 147.000 m2, while excavation of additional 40.000 m2 under ground will be carried out for construction of underground parking, warehouse, technical rooms.

At the location of 60 acres, there will be: One&Only luxurious hotel with 120 rooms, ESPA fitness and wellness center on an area of 3.000 m2, facilities for organization of conferences and banquets, 500 luxurious suites and villas. Construction of fisherman`s place with fish market and market of organic food for sales of seasonal locally produced food, marine of world quality, capacity of up to 250 places and for mega yachts.

There will be 70 shops, cafes, restaurants around the coastal walking zone. They are planning to create sandy beaches so construction of three islands with fun facilities and a heliport might follow as well.

One & Only Resorts, as it has been said, imagined as symbols of extraordinary. Seven facilities have been built so far which are, among other locations, in Maldive, Dubai, Mauritius, Bahamas and Mexico. One & Only also announced construction of resort in China.
