Azerbaijan "Azmont Investments" to invest EUR 500 mil in Montenegrin tourism - Boka gets a hotel, 500 luxury suites and villas, a marine...

Azerbaijan company, Azmont Investments. will pour EUR 500 mil in the construction of a luxury tourist hotel complex in the Bay of Boka Kotorska, it was announced on Monday after the meeting of the Montenegrin Prime Minister, Milo Djukanovic, and the company representative.

Azmont Investments, as announced, has already prepared the master plan for the project which will be implemented at the location of the former Kumbor-based barracks.

- Firstly, we have committed to invest EUR 250 mil for the period of eight years, but last week the amount increased to EUR 500 mil, with a dynamic project implementation plan so that the complex construction could complete within 28 months - the representative of Azmont, Gafar Gurbanov said.

According to him, the project is extremely important for the local community and Montenegro as a high class tourism destination.

Djukanovic was pleased with the announcement of the Azerbaijan investor that by October this year 500 people will be hired at the construction site and that next year the number of staff will increase to 3000.

- After completion and complex opening, the investor guarantees that 1200 people will find a job here - Montenegrin Prime Minister said.

The project implies constriction of the luxury hotel with 120 rooms, 500 luxury suites and villas which would be served by the hotel, fishing place, a marine with 250 places with an accent on mega yachts, up to 70 shops, cafes and restaurants around coastal walking zone, yachting and beach club as well as tennis academy of the world class.

Sandy beaches will be developed and the project also implies three islands with a fun park and a heliport.
