Belgrade gets new symbol 146 meters high - PSP Farman soon starts construction of complex worth EUR 170m

Construction of a residential and business complex worth 170 million euros will start in September in New Belgrade's Block 65. The project whose investor is PSP-Farman will be dominated by a building that will be the highest facility in Belgrade - a tower 146 meters high.

According to the investor, a special wish was that the design of the new complex should somehow transfer the spirit of old Belgrade into New Belgrade's blocks. The complex itself will completely use all the benefits of life in New Belgrade, with pedestrian zones and squares that are characteristic of the city center.

The architectural solution has been offered by people from famous Fletcher Priest studio in London. The project that will be implemented in Block 65, at the corner of Omladinskih Brigada Street and the future route of Inner Ring Road, will occupy the surface of 152,437 square meters, and it will comprise buildings of different heights and forms.

Once finished, facilities will be organized into 514 residential units with the projected price of 2,000 euros per square meter and 100 outlets with total surface intended for office space and suites of 37,058 square meters. The price of office space per square meter will amount to 3,000 euros.

Construction of the complex will be carried out in two phases. The first phase will include construction of residential facilities on the side of the block opposite to Omladinskih Brigada Street, while a shopping center and a business tower should be built in the second phase. The first phase is expected to start in September 2010, while the investor plans to have the whole complex finished prior to 2013.

The facility will meet all environmental and sustainability standards thanks to various innovative technologies such as use of renewable energy sources, ecological materials...

According to the announcements, innovations in that field will include the use of subterranean waters, rainwater, while certain part of the needs for power will be satisfied with wind energy and solar panels in the complex.
