In June 2021, in Serbia, 14,121 real estate sales and purchase agreements were signed in Serbia, a 16% increase compared to the same month last year, whereas the increase compared to June 2019 is 46.5%, announced the Republic Geodetic Authority.
A total of 15,448 pieces of real estate changed hands in June in the territory of Serbia, of which 5,613 pieces of land, 3,729 facilities and 6,106 separate parts of facilities.
As said, the amount of money in the real estate market in June was EUR 549.7 million, and the dominant means of payment in these transactions was cash, accounting for 85% of the realized transactions.
Credits are mostly used to pay for apartments. In June, in Serbia, 34% apartments were purchased with credits, mostly in Belgrade (38%).
In 99% of the cases, land was purchased with cash.
