The municipal administration of Cuprija has put the study of the Detailed Regulation Plan of the cadaster municipality Mijatovac up for early public review. According to the DRP, a new business zone is to be formed in this area, for office and business facilities.

According to the spatial plan of the municipality of Cuprija, the area of 4.36 hectares was already marked for being repurposed from agricultural to building land. Based on this document, the Department for Urban Planning of the Municipality of Cuprija has prepared the study so as to present to the public all the aspects of these changes.

According to the study, a new business zone will be formed in Mijatovac, with plenty of economic potential thanks to its geographic position. A IIA grade state road 158 (Mala Krsna – Velika Plana – Batocina – Jagodina – Cuprija – Paracin – Razanj – Aleksinac – Nis – Klisura – Leskovac) passes through the location, which is a favorable aspect for the development of crafts, trade and economic activities.

However, considering that the land in this location has been registered as agricultural land for a long time, at the moment, it lacks the necessary infrastructure, especially sewer, which is the requirement for the construction to begin.

As said, the DRP will enable the defining of the critical points and the securing of the necessary conditions as quickly as possible, so that the land would be repurposed.

The forming of the business zone entails the construction of multifunctional complexes, service and production crafts facilities, as well as other commercial facilities, such as shopping centers, wholesale facilities and service facilities such as gas stations, car washes, shared garages and so on.

The conclusion of the Plan, whose preparation involved Infoplan from Arandjelovac, says that the different purpose of the land in the Mijatovac area would contribute to a quicker growth of Cuprija through the expansion of the capacities for the construction of production-service facilities.

The public review lasts until June 26.
