Delta to build satellite town in Surcin too – One step closer to a modern business park with apartments near the airport

Right next to the Singidunum satellite town, about which eKapija has already written about and which should be built near the Dobanovci Interchange, the company Delta Real Estate is planning to build a similar “small city”.

The detailed regulation plan of the area of the Autoput business zone, prepared in late 2018 at the company's request, envisages the possibility of the construction of a business park on 40 hectares, close to the Nikola Tesla Airport and right next to the Belgrade-Zagreb highway.

This parcel, owned by Delta, currently consists of agricultural land, but another step toward the establishment of the future business zone, which, according to the DRP, will entail modern technological industrial parks, but also a Live&Work residential complex, has been made recently.

The Government of Serbia recently adopted the decision determining a public interest for the expropriation of land and facilities for the purpose of the construction of energy, transport and utility infrastructure in the location of the future Delta business park.

All this points to the possibility of the construction starting soon. However, as Delta Real Estate claims, the construction of this large project is not planned for 2020.

– The plan is certainly there, there's also the land, but the project has not yet been prepared – they told eKapija and added that the value of the investment was not known either.

The reason, they added, is that, in 2020, the company will focus on raising a new office building and three shopping malls.

B. Petrovic
