Tendering for construction of healthcare center in Borca by end of August – Works worth RSD 800 million

Tendering for the construction of the healthcare center in Borca should be opened by the end of August and the construction should star in October, the Mayor of Belgrade Zoran Radojicic announced.

The Mayor stated that the decision was adopted on opening public procurement procedure for execution of works and experts supervision of construction and that tendering documentation was being prepared at the moment , Beoinfo portal reports.

– We are expecting for construction of the Borca health care canter, within Palilula Public Primary Healthcare Center to begin in fall. The works are to be finished in 12 months meaning that by the end of 2020 we will have a new healthcare center that will meet the needs of residents on the left bank of the Danube. The estimated value of investment is around RSD 800 million, VAT included, the Mayor said.

He added that the healthcare facility in Borca will be located in Koste Manojlovica Street and stated that Secretariat for Health Care and Secretariat for Investments of the City of Belgrade will monitor the works.

– In the facility covering the area of over 6.800m2 patients will have at their disposal the following specialized services – laboratories, physical medicine and rehabilitation, internal medicine, psychiatry, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology and dental and oral medicine. The center will employ about 50 general practitioners and other medical specialists, around 10 dentists,90 nurses and the secondary medical and non-medical staff in order to meet patients' needs, Radojicic said.

The Mayor of Belgrade said that in order to ensure adequate medical services in primary health care, three health care centers (in Vracar, Zemun and Mladenovac) would get new ultrasound machine in August total value of RSD 12 million. Also in August, health care centers in Barajevo, Surcin, Zemun, Grocka and Vracar would get medical equipment and important machines worth RSD 10 million while Health Care Center Zvezdara would get a digital X-ray machine worth RSD 12 million.

Radojicic said that along Ministry of Health's efforts on continuously improving medical condition s in Serbia the City of Belgrade will contribute to these and other projects as well.
