Construction of MIND Park industrial complex in Kragujevac in progress – First world competence center for rail vehicles planned

The construction of the industrial complex MIND Park in Kragujevac, built by Kragujevac-based Milanovic Industries Group, is going according to plan. A total of 17,000 m2 of production space will be completed by early 2019. The first phase of the construction of the complex will thereby be completed – the Kragujevac-based company says for our portal.

– The next phases entail the construction of a kindergarten, a canteen and educational and engineering centers – they note and add that the final completion date had not been defined, as “the plan is for MIND Park to grow gradually and develop continuously”.

The complex, the construction of which began in April and which will take up around 130 ha, will also get a runway in one of the upcoming phases.

Let us remind that, as announced earlier, Germany's Siemens, which officially took over Milanovic Inzenjering in early February, will operate within MIND Park. According to the media, the German investor will produce complete rail vehicles here and this will be its second plant in Serbia. It is not yet known, however, when the production will start.

Milanovic Industries points out for our portal that the operations within MIND Park will be interesting to all companies ready to work on research and development, take part in the process of creating new values in the rail vehicle industry and be innovative in their field.

– The plan is for suppliers from within the rail vehicle industry to be present at MIND Park so as to make the process complete, from engineering to assembly, and to form a competence center for rail vehicles. This will be the first competence center within this industry in the world and that's what will make it the most different from all the other industrial complexes in Serbia.

When asked which other companies have expressed interest in operating within MIND Park and whether concrete arrangements have been made, our interviewees only say that negotiations are in progress.
