The German company Lidl has obtained a building permit for the construction of a retail outlet in Paracin, the Directorate of Urban Planning and Property-Legal Affairs of the Municipality of Paracin told Tanjug on Saturday, April 14, 2018.

The facility should have 2,550 square meters and the estimated value of the construction is RSD 278.6 million.

The Lidl facility will be raised in the local community of Glozdak, on the plot of land for which Lidl paid RSD 10 million, as well as RSD 7 million to the city budget for public utilities, the Directorate says.

The beginning of the construction and the opening “depend on the business policy” of Lidl, the Directorate notes.

In Jagodina, Lidl started building its supermarket in early March, and should be completed in September, according to the contractor, Tehnogradnja Krusevac.

The municipal administration of Paracin adds that, in addition to Lidl, the procedure of issuing construction permits is close to being completed for another 10 investors in Paracin, whose facilities exceed a total of 15,000 square meters.
