Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate consulting company, has signed a partnership agreement with CBS International, as its exclusive representative for Serbia and Montenegro.

CBS International is entering its second decade of successful operations. For seven years, it has been one of the leading real estate consulting companies in Serbia, providing a full range of services, from mediation and representation of clients and investors, to consulting services, such as valuation and investment advisory, project management, property maintenance, market research and marketing, it was pointed out at the press conference held on April 3 on the occasion of the company's tenth anniversary.

– After a decade of successful operations in Serbia and Montenegro, as the absolute market leader, we are very satisfied with our new partnership with Cushman & Wakefield, which will further enhance the standards of the quality of the services we provide our clients with. Local expertise of the most numerous team in the market, together with an international experience of a global leader, is an excellent platform for the regional expansion along with the implementation of the best practice in new markets – said Dragan Radulovic, Regional Manager at CBS International.

He announced that CBS International planned to enter the markets of Croatia and Slovenia, but also the expansion of operations outside the territory of the former Yugoslavian countries. The company will also open another two offices in Serbia – in Nis and Cacak.

Goran Zivkovic, which has been General Manager of CBS International for Serbia since April 1, pointed out that the data on the available office and retail space in Belgrade showed investors that there's still plenty of potential for the growth and the development of the real estate market.

– With 845,000 m2 of office space, Belgrade is the last in the region. As for retail space, the average in the region is 500 m2 per 1,000 residents, whereas Belgrade only has 208 m2, that is, a total of 345,000 m2 of retail space – Zivkovic said.

The housing market in Belgrade has been turning to large format projects lately, those with 300 and more apartments, and an increase in quality standards is apparent as well.

– Aside from the location, purchasers find other parameters increasingly important as well, and a new life style is being adopted as well, in the so-called condominiums – said Mina Kalzeic, Marketing and Sales Manager at CBS International.

She reminded that CBS was working on complexes Business Garden, Skyline and Vozdove Kapije and that the realization of their newest project, WellPort, was to start on May 1 in Block 65 in New Belgrade, next to the Airport City.
