The Podgorica-based company Spencer & Hill, owned by former basketball player Nikola Pekovic, has filed a request for the issuing of urban-technical requirements for the construction of multi-story buildings in the location of the big aquapark and the parking lot of Hotel Mediteran in Becici.

The request pertains to four parcels meant for construction of three skyscrapers with 11 floors, including the ground floor.

The skyscraper complex would practically surround Hotel Mediteran, owned by Pekovic, and separate it from the boulevard and the neighboring Hotel Splendid.

Let us remind that Pekovic signed a sales and purchase agreement with the bankruptcy management of the company Maestraltours, owned by businessman Blazo Dedic.

He traded the attractive hotel for only EUR 8.5 million, a price nearly eight times lower than the initial evaluation in 2013, when bankruptcy proceedings were initiated in Dedic’s company.

In addition to the hotel, Pekovic also owns the two most popular dance clubs in Montenegro, Top Hill in Budva and Maximus in Kotor, and is one of the leading builders in the Zlatibor winter resort in Serbia.
