Lidl to arrive to Cacak – City negotiating about big investment of production company from Germany as well

The store chain Lidl is coming to Cacak as well, and the facility is being built in the location of the former Ishrana in the Beogradska Street, as confirmed by the mayor of Cacak, Milun Todorovic.

The works have already started, all the structures are being removed from the parcel, following which the construction is to start. According to the mayor, 40 to 50 workers will be employed, and the job contest will be opened this spring.

– On March 12, the city issued the location requirements. They have visited us in Cacak several times, looking for several locations, supposedly looking for another location. We'll see – Todorovic said.

In addition to the big store chain, the city is also negotiating with another German production company, which should open a factory in the city on the Morava. The negotiations are in their final stages and are expected to be completed in a month.

– We expect an agreement to be signed in the next month to a month a half. This is a big investment, entailing a lot of new employments, new opportunities for the young, both those with high school diplomas and university graduates. This is one of the big investments and big companies the City of Cacak, the Development Agency of Serbia and the Government of Serbia are negotiating with. We have been having talks for a year now – Todorovic said.

According to the mayor, the salaries will be decent for Serbia.

– We have fought for it and had the investor provide decent salaries. Our focus is on having our fellow citizens be given an opportunity to get jobs. The investor will be looking for people of various qualifications – the mayor of Cacak said.

With the arrival of this big German company, several smaller factories tied to the company's production, will also arrive, Ozonpress reports.
