The first Indigo
hotel in Belgrade will open in the Cika Ljubina Street, and its construction will begin in the spring of 2018, announced the vice president of
Delta Holding, Zivorad Vasic.
Addressing the guests at the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Hotel Holiday Inn in Belgrade, Vasic announced an expansion of cooperation between Delta Holding and
InterContinental Hotels Group, the biggest hotel group in the world.
Delta already has IHG brands in its portfolio, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn in Belgrade and InterContinental in Ljubljana, and they are now joined by the first hotel of the Indigo brand.
– Belgrade needs both large and small hotels. We are starting the construction of a remarkably attractive 4-star hotel between the Kneza Mihaila Street and the Cika Ljubina Street and we are investing EUR 20 million in it. We believe that, in 18 months, we will open the first local boutique hotel – Vasic announced.
– We will not stop there, however, as we have been assured by the city authorities that we will also get a permit to build an InterContinental in New Belgrade. We have not given up on building the Delta Planet in Autokomanda either, in which we are prepared to invest around EUR 200 million – Vasic added.
The first Indigo hotel opened in 2004 it Atlanta and there are currently 64 worldwide. The Indigo hotels belong to the group of boutique hotels, characterized by extraordinary, inspirational design and frequent changes in interior details, artworks, music, scents...
The Indigo brand is also known for its honoring of the culture, character and history of the areas in which it is present – from the design, which fits into the surroundings, to the menus and local culinary ingredients.
