HTP Fontana facilities in Vrnjacka Banja to be sold individually – Citizens fear that investors will bypass them

The facilities of HTP Fontana in Vrnjacka Banja are to be sold individually. This was confirmed for Blic by Zeljko Ivanovic, administrative receiver of the company, which contains facilities and hotels in the most exclusive locations in Vrnjacka Banja. People of Vrnjacka Banja fear that this might be the end of congress tourism, which makes up as much as 40% of the total tourism there, and that investors will bypass them.

– The notification of intent and the manner of sale of HTP Fontana was sent to the creditors' addresses. The ad will include the list of all facilities for sale, which will be carried out through public bidding – Ivanovic says.

In the past few months, nearly all leading investors in Serbia have visited this spa in order to examine the possibilities of investment.

Philip Zepter, representatives of Alco Group and owners of the Mona hotel chain have visited Vrnjacka Banja.

The decision was made to sell the property of HTP Fontana as a whole, which was supported by the municipality of Vrnjacka Banja as well, but the plan has now been changed.
