Contract signed on construction of golf court in Surčin - realization of project "Oaza", worth about 800m EUR, commenced

The contract on construction of golf court in Surčin was signed on April 2, and the investors rented the land at 300 ha in settlement Bečmen, about 25 km away from the Belgrade City, on 99 years at price of 26m EUR.

The contract was signed by the Mayor of Surčin, Vojislav Janošević, the CEO of Public Comany "Surčin", Živko Stevanović, and the representative of consortium "El golf", Omri Dudaš.

- "El golf is obliged to pay 1.8m EUR for ten years in advance within three weeks, starting from the day the contract is signed, because it got 30% discount from the municipality - said Janošević.

According to his words, "El golf" - the consortium of investors from the USA, Austria and Israel - will have infrastructure, helidrome and roads built during the first four years, while large golf court with 18 holes, the building of golf club, clinic and outdoor kindergarten, as well as other sports fields, will be built in six years.

- Our preliminary solution and financial offer is selected by the borough of Surčin as the most favorable and we have implementation of one of the most attractive projects in the region ahead of us - said Dudaš.

The whole project will be realized in phases, and the completion of all works is expected in maximum 11 years. Total investment is estimated to 700-800m EUR.

- It will be an exclusive new housing project in this borough, peaceful, quiet, surrounded by forest, and its current name is "Oaza" - said he, adding that golf courts will occupy 110 ha, residential part will be built at 190 ha and it will host about 1m square meters of space.

In addition to professional golf court for world tournaments, sports- recreation and tourist part of the complex will include a high-category hotel, sports center with country club, swimming pool and tennis courts.

Artificial lake will be built in the "heart" of the project and it will be surrounded by other part of the project - residential-commercial part with school, kindergartens, health center and shopping mall.

Borough of Surčin obliged to start construction of one third of the road 20 km long, from the Obrenovac bridge to Dobanovci, which goes past golf courts.

The aim of municipal authorities was to create jobs for 1,000 people by renting land and building the complex, as well as to get funds in amount of 10-15m EUR for construction of infrastructure that will attract new investors.
