MK Group opening hotel in Novi Sad in 2017 – Guests to have 144 rooms, congress center, spa features available

The company MK Group has reported that it has become the new owner of the building on the corner of the Futog Road and Evropa Blvd in Novi Sad, meant to be a high-category hotel.

The hotel with a capacity of 144 accommodation units, whose opening should take place in the first half of 2017, is located in close proximity to the historical center, the Novi Sad Fair building, as well as other notable business and tourism facilities.

MK group is currently considering the ideal development concept, which will considerably complement and enhance the tourism offer of Novi Sad and Vojvodina. The hotel will be meant for business guest and will be able to accommodate the organization of big international gatherings, and it will also be adapted to the needs of tourists, the report says.

As the report adds, in addition to top-quality accommodation, the guests will have at their disposal spa and wellness features on 800 square meters, a modern congress center, and international cuisine restaurant and other features, and the entire facility spreads on 11,000 square meters.

Belgrade media have reported earlier that Miodrag Kostic, president of MK Group, is the new owner of the Holiday Inn hotel in Novi Sad. The building was completed back in 2013, but it never officially opened.

The InterContinental Hotel Group was also interested in expanding its business to this location and announced in late 2015 that a Crowne Plaza hotel would open in the Holiday Inn building.

The company MK Mountain Resort, which operates within MK Group, is one of the hotel industry leaders in this area. Its hotels include Grand Hotel and Spa 4*, Angella Hotel & Residence – Konaci Suncani Vrhovi 4* in Kopaonik, known for their high standards and successful operations, as well as Belgrade’s 88 Rooms Hotel, proclaimed the most popular hotel in Serbia by Trip Advisor.
