Following Novi Sad and Kragujevac, the company Nepi announces investments in Krusevac as well.

As confirmed for eKapija by the manager of Nepi, Nemanja Savcic, the company has bought a parcel of around 2.7 hectares at the location Stari Aerodrom in Krusevac, and the beginning of the realization of the project, that is, acquiring the permit, is expected in the next month. The construction should start during 2017.

Nepi has set aside close to RSD 294 million for the plot of land in Krusevac.

– Following Kragujevac and Novi Sad, we've decided to invest in Krusevac as well, which is a very important economic center in this part of Serbia. We will build a modern retail park with an area of around 10,000 m2, where we expect to see a large number of international renters, who have already shown interest in this project – Savcic says for eKapija and adds that the first stores are expected to open as soon as 2018.

Our interviewee emphasizes the great cooperation with the local self-government of Krusevac, thanks to which, as he says, he expect the realization to be very efficient.

The value of the investment is between EUR 12 and 15 million, and the exact amount will become known in the further phases of the project development. So far, there is a concept, and, as our interviewee reminds, the preparation of the project for such considerable investments is always a demanding task.

Right next to the future Nepi retail park in Krusevac, Lidl will also start construction works. The company has bought the other plot of land offered by the City at the location Stari Aerodrom at the auction held in September. Lidl has paid around RSD 105 million for the plot of land with an area of around 1 ha, as reported on the City's website.

As announced earlier, Nepi will build a shopping mall worth as much as EUR 60 million at the corner of Oslobodjenja Blvd and Cara Lazara Blvd. People of Novi Sad are waiting for the project impatiently, as they will have at their disposal numerous boutiques, a movie theater, a bowling alley and other sports and recreation features in close proximity to Spens.

Our interviewee points out that they enjoy great support by the local self-government in Novi Sad and that everything is going according to plan and very quickly.

– The urban plan is is being finalized, after which the building permit is to be acquired. In late winter, probably in February, we might expect the works to start – they say at Nepi.

The South African company Nepi owns 40 shopping malls all over Africa, but also in Europe. In Serbia, they became known following the purchase of the Plaza shopping mall in Kragujevac.
