Roundtable "Mortgage loans" on January 23 in Belgrade

Roundtable "Mortgage loans", organized by "Bankar" magazine, will be held tomorrow (January 23, 2008) in hotel "Hyatt" in Belgrade. According to the announcement of the organizers, tomorrow's conference will be about previous experiences and results of the activities related to mortgage loans in Serbia in the past few years, effects of NBS' measures (concerning the fact that the banks have no obligation to set aside mandatory reserves for mortgage loans), insurance of mortgage loans and suggestion of NBS that National Mortgage Insurance Corporation should be additionally capitalizes.

Also, the meeting will be about innovations of the business banks in 2008 in field of mortgage crediting, basic difficulties that banks face when taking requests for approval of mortgage loans in consideration, as well as about draft measures for their elimination.

As the organizers announced, it is expected that this meeting will gather representatives of the National Bank of Serbia, Ministry of Finance, National Mortgage Insurance Corporation, investors in housing construction, real estate agencies.
