Huge investments planned in Belgrade in 2016 - New bus and railway station, more space for pedestrians, bike fans, etc.

In 2016, Belgrade is planning a number of projects so that the city would be nicer, more functional and healthier for life, the main city planner, Milutin Folic, said. He added Belgrade citizens can be relieved since the investment wheel rolls down in Belgrade which has full city budget.

Belgrade citizens can be satisfied since, as Folic proudly outlines, in 2015 terms for detailed regulation plan and general urban plan to be adopted were generated which will open the door for huge investments and infrastructure development.

Bombed building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at Kneza Milosa street will no longer be visible to passengers, Folic outlines since terms for its reconstruction have been generated. In a series of projects, construction of a new bus and railway station in block 42 in Novi Beograd is planned next to which, as Folic announces, business space on 200.000 m2 will be built.

In his interview for Tanjug he said that this year, among other things, detailed regulation plan for Ada Huja and Block 18. IME (identity-mobility-ecology) was designed so that Belgrade citizens should get more developed place for life.

Bicycle fans will be happy with the news that IME project implies that this transport means is a part of public transport which implies set up of cycling paths network.

For a new, modernly built Marriott hotel, next old, great buildings, the main city planner claims that this hotel fit into its environment fantastically. To support the fact, he adds that during interventions at the old core of the city we should not try to make older and nicer building but a modern one which will provide contrast.

Repeating that the hotel greatly fits into this part of the city, he added other architects do not have to share his attitude.
