The idea authors of visual identity of the city square in Sabac presented yesterday to the mayor of Sabac, Nebojsa Zelenovic and Vladimir Nedeljkovic, the head of public company for construction site management, a situation plan for square development.
Ksenija Lukic said that current situation of the square is bad and that maintenance is essential. She said new square will have plenty of innovations which cannot be seen in other towns in Serbia.
As Lukic says, design team opted to split the square in a number of smaller units with an idea to treat them differently and design them. The objective is that users are supported to use the space actively, discovering different environment. The rough division could be defined in 4 zones, one of them having minimal interventions so the work was focused on the remaining three zones. They can be defined as: square as a monument, square as event, and square as a playground.
The works total RSD 45 m. The amount does not include construction of the fountain for which the funds will be set aside after city budget rebalance.
