Silvia Vernetti, general manager of Fiat automobili Srbija - Biography

Silvia Vernetti, the new general manager of the Fiat automobili Srbija company, was born in Barcelona in 1965. She graduated from the Polytechnic University of Barcelona (Universitat Politecnica de Barcelona) to become an IT engineer.

She worked for Andersen Consulting in Spain from 1988 to 1992 and for Bain and Company in Italy between 1992 and 2004, where she held various positions.

In 2004, Ms. Vernetti joined the FGA Capital company, where she was in charge of business development and coordination of joint projects.

Before taking up the position of Business Development Director for the EMEA Region at Fiat in 2011, she had been responsible for business development and joint operations at that company since 2009.

She assumed the position of General Manager of Fiat automobili Srbija on 1 March 2014, replacing Antonio Cezare Ferrara in that post.
