Company "Beograd film" sold for 730m RSD, new owner - Nikola Živanović

The new owner of "Beograd film", which encompasses 14 cinemas, is Nikola Živanović, who bought that company at today’s auction (February 16, 2007) for 730m RSD (about 9m EUR).


The starting price was 388.7m RSD. Živanović's rivals were Consortium Stock Company "Srbijateks", Željko Vuksanović and company "NeltCo”. After the auction, Živanović announced that he planned to keep basic activity of the company and to fulfill obligations from the social program. He could not state precisely how much money would be invested in the company, but he promised that the cinemas would be renovated.

Živanović operates in Great Britain and he used to carry out consulting services related to the foreign currency savings for the National Bank of Serbia. He also bought the company for production of orthopedic appliances “Rudo” at the today's auction.


"Beograd film" encompasses cinemas "Kozara", "Zvezda", "Jadran", "Balkan", "Odeon", "20. oktobar", "Kosmaj", "Central", "Slavica", "Avala", "Jedinstvo", "Drina", "Partizan" and "Voždovac".
