Bulgarian and Italian companies are interested in investing in quarries in Serbia, and so are investors from ex-Yugoslav countries - Croatia and Macedonia, said Zoran Djajic, the president of the business organization for stone exploitation and processing and the supporting industry Kamen Srbije (Stone of Serbia).

- We spread the word that Serbia had a big potential in the field of architectural and building stones, and we expect a Bulgarian company to come here this spring and invest in the opening of two quarries near Arilje - Djajic told Tanjug news agency.

He announced that Kamen Srbije would organize the sixth stone fair Stoneexpo Serbia at Sumadija Fair in Kragujevac between March 19 and 22, where it would talk with prospective investors about possible quarry locations.

Stoneexpo Serbia is the largest international fair dedicated to natural stone and the supporting industry in Serbia and southeast Europe.
