Among the attendees were also Faisal Abud Bawazir and Antonius Trisna Wanda, representatives of the investor, whose delegation was received by Indjija Mayor Petar Filipovic and Uros Curuvija, the director of the Indjija Development Directorate.
Filipovic explained that the land acquisition negotiations had taken two months to complete.
- I expect that we will later expand our cooperation. They have booked additional two hectares, and I also believe that other Indonesian companies will come to Indjija soon - said Filipovic.
Samuel Samson, the Indonesian ambassador to Serbia, expressed satisfaction with getting a chance to be involved in this turning point in the cooperation between the two countries.
In the first phase, Indoadriatic Industry, which was established and registered by the Salim&Wazaran Group from Indonesia, is going to build a factory for producing Indomi noodles under the Indofood license.
This investment is valued at EUR 11 million. The investor plans to start building the factory in the spring 2014 and to have it finished in early 2015, when it should hire between 140 and 200 people. With the expansion of the production capacity, the factory should hire additional 140 workers, it was announced on the municipal website.
Indomie Nudle products can be bought in all countries of former Yugoslavia including Serbia, where they first appeared three years ago thanks to the Indo Serbia Food company that was also established by the Salim&Wazaran Group from Indonesia. Indo Serbia Food is the importer and distributor for Serbia, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Romania.
