(an illustration) Representatives of the local self-government have handed Slovakia's Agro-Energy a building permit for four biogas stations in the industrial zone in Bac, it was announced on the municipal website.

Mayor Ognjen Markovic stressed that he was pleased because the administrative part of the work had finally been completed.

- The Bac municipality and the Vojvodina government have invested in excess of EUR 1 million to have the industrial zone fully equipped and prepared for investments. By the way, this is the first large investment in our work zone in the last few years. It is a real pleasure to finish this administrative part of the work - said Markovic.

- We expect investors to start construction in the shortest time possible and these plants to be commissioned next year.

These stations will employ about 40 people. Also, there will be about 100 seasonal workers collecting raw materials. By the way, the Slovakian company is going to invest about EUR 15 million in this project.

- Local self-government will have revenues because the new company is registered in Bac - said Markovic.
