Frans Muller named new executive director of the Delhaize Group
New executive director of the Delhaize Group is Frans Muller. He will join the company on October 14th and assume the new position on November 8th. Muller will replace Pierre-Oliviera Beckers, who will serve as an adviser to the new director by the year's end and then take up a new position in the company's non-executive sector.
Frans Muller was a member of the top management of the Metro Group and the executive director of Metro Cash & Carry.
The Belgian market chain also announced that Roland Smith would leave the position of the CEO of Delhaize America and serve as an adviser to the new CEO by the year's end.
