Turkey's Erste plans to achieve between 8 and 10 million euros worth of production in its factory in Krusevac next year. This company also plans to double the number of workers, Erste's owner Muamer Ozdjan announced.

He explained that new machines for producing PVC joinery and for use in the timber industry had been delivered the previous week, specifying that the total value of equipment imported from Turkey to Serbia stood at about EUR 1.15 million.

- The season started late this year, and we have so far been mainly importing goods directly from our company in Istanbul. Now we've signed some bigger, more important contracts, and our aim is to achieve between 8 and 10 million euros worth of production next season - Ozdjan told Tanjug news agency.

Ozdjan noted that the number of workers could be increased from current 60 to 120.

Ozdjan expects his company to start exporting products to neighboring countries - Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and Macedonia, citing this as a reason for production boost in the following period.

He also added that the complete production was slowly being relocated from Istanbul to Krusevac.
