NIS opens another filling station in Romania under Gazprom brand

The Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) has opened another filling station in Romania under the Gazprom brand.

The first Gazprom highway gas station is situated in Dambovita County, on the highway A1 that connects Bucharest and Pitesti, reads a release issued by NIS, a subsidiary of Russia's Gazpromneft.

The network of Gazprom filling stations in Romania now consists of 12 facilities. The second phase of development of the Romanian retail network calls for the construction of another 20 filling stations.

NIS operationally manages the network of Gazprom filling stations.

According to the release, NIS will have a total of 50 filling stations in the territory of Romania by the year's end.

A premium network of Gazprom filling stations will also stretch across other countries in the Balkans - Serbia, Bulgaria, and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The plan is to open over 250 filling stations in the Balkans under the Gazprom brand by end-2015, 120 of which in Romania.
