A step closer to date - Fule and Ashton recommend negotiations between EU and Serbia
The high officials of the European Commission, Catherine Ashton and Stefan Fule in the letter addressed to EU chiefs of diplomacies suggested initiation of negotiations on membership with Serbia and on joining agreement with Kosovo.
As Fule’s spokesman, Peter Stano, said for the Beta agency, the letter says that Belgrade and Prisitina have made a considerable progress in relations normalization which was a key condition for EU to approve negotiations with Serbia and Kosovo.
- We are very hopeful that the Council of Ministers will make a favourable decision – Stano said.
