Bids of concessionaires interested in Horgoš-Požega highway to be opened on September 15

- Final offers of the consortiums that passes prequalification on the tender for selection of the concessionaire for completion of Horgoš-Požega highway will be opened on Friday (September 15, 2006) - the Minister of Capital Investments of Serbia Velimir Ilić announecd.

On the occasion of the claims of the President of the Parliament of Vojvodina, Bojan Kostreš, who said that Horgoš-Belgrade highway could not be given under concession, Ilić pointed out that "Europe gave Serbia a chance and set the deadline before which the highways must be completed".

Concession - yes or no?

- If we do not do that job on time, the traffic from EUR will bypass us, because the neighbors are building corridors hastily by means of concessions. Corridor 10 brings the biggest income and that is the mint factory for Serbia. Kostreš should not stay in the way and make problems now when tender is about to be completed – Ilić explained.
