Swedish companies plan to hire 1.1 million workers in 2013, the Sarajevo Oslobodjenje writes.

The highest demand for workers is in the fields of engineering, medicine and infrastructure.

Hakan Gustavsson, chief advisor at the Swedish National Employment Agency, pointed out that there was a lack of domestic skilled labor in certain sectors in that country.

- Over the next five to ten years, large number of sectors in Sweden will lack workers because a substantial number of people are going into retirement, while the number of those educating for their jobs is insufficient - said Gustavsson.

According to him, Sweden will require about million workers this year, mainly doctors, engineers, computer scientists and architects, whereas the number of journalists, sales workers and pedagogues is way too high in this country.
