EUR 30 million for small and medium-sized enterprises - Banca Intesa's new credit line
Banca Intesa has signed an agreement with the European Investment Bank for a new EUR 30 million credit line for SME financing. Funds from this credit line will be approved to the Bank’s SME clients as working assets loans and investment loans in the amount of up to EUR 12.5 million and with the maximum repayment term of up to ten years. All interested clients can apply starting today, Intesa said in a release.
- With this new credit line extended by the European Investment Bank, we will provide necessary support to SMEs and enable them to continue to implement their investment projects and solve the problem of liquidity under very favorable terms - said Darko Popovic, member of the Executive Board and head of the Corporate Division of Banca Intesa.
In cooperation with the European Investment Bank, Banca Intesa has so far provided the total of EUR 70 million for on-lending to businesses. Thanks to its cooperation with leading international financial institutions, the Bank secured funds totalling EUR 87 million in 2012 for on-lending to citizens and the economy sector.
