Imlek becomes majority owner of Bambi - Bambi shares hit record high since 2007
Belgrade-based Imlek became a majority owner of the confectioner Bambi-Banat after a block trade on Friday, when it acquired three percent of Bambi shares.
The share price in this block trade amounted to RSD 22,000, while one of the sellers was the Danube Foods Group, as it was the case in recent block trades.
Imlek thus increased its stake in Bambi to 52.1 percent, whereas the Danube Foods Group holds a 17.5-percent stake in this confectioner.
Officials of the Danube Foods Group have recently told eKapija that these changes in the ownership structure represent solely an organizational change within the system aimed at making Imlek the umbrella company of the whole group.
The price of Bambi shares on Friday reached the level of RSD 22,400, which is a record high since November 2007. With this share price, Bambi's market cap amounts to RSD 8.1 billion (EUR 70.2 million).
