Italy's low cost carrier Air One, Alitalia's subsidiary, today started operating direct flights between Belgrade and Milan. The price of one-way ticket is EUR 35, with all taxes included.

Flights will be operated three times a week - on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, using Airbus A320 airplanes with 180 seats.

First passengers at Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade were received by Italian Ambassador Armando Varichio, who assessed that the new service would additionally improve an already excellent political and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Alitalia/Air One Regional Manager Marco Quagliarella stated that that airline would like to become the No.1 carrier in Serbia, adding that Air One had decided to invest in the Serbian market due to a growing cooperation between the two countries.

Tickets can be bought online at http://flyairone.com/, and since Alitalia has signed a so-called "code-share" agreement for this service, they can also be purchased at http://www.alitalia.com/en_en/splash-page.aspx.
