For full 12 years Serbia has been waiting for its golden Olympic hero, and it finally got it one day before the end of the Olympics in London: Milica Mandic, Serbia's taekwondo fighter, won a gold medal at ExCel Arena on the bank of the Thames.
This 20-year-old girl from Belgrade, a member of the Serbian national taekwondo team, edged top-seeded Anne-Caroline Graffe of France 9-7 in the final to win a gold medal.
