Neoplanta exports pate to Africa
Novi Sad-based Neoplanta today exported 15 tonnes of pates to Angola, thus completing the first shipment of 60 tonnes of meat products to that African country.
Neoplanta entered the market of Angola in early June, and the export of Patelina pates was preceded by the delivery of patties and ready-made meals, reads a company's press release.
That company is the only meat-packing company in Serbia to penetrate the market of Africa below the Sahara.
Neoplanta CEO Boris Macak said that intensive preparations for the export to South African Republic were underway.
Patelina pates hit the domestic market in June 2010. They managed to position in the market of Serbia in a very short time, as well as in the countries of the region - Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and Macedonia.
These pates were also exported to China and Russia early this year, where they were received very well, reads Neoplanta's release.
