Oil price ceiling not considered by government
The Government of Serbia has not considered a possibility of setting a ceiling on the price margin for oil derivatives, Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic said Thursday, stressing that that issue was quite complex.
- I assume that the issue was only discussed within the ministry - Cvetkovic told the press.
- We also have to comply with the international rules of free market - said PM.
Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Milutin Mrkonjic told the press Wednesday that the Serbian government was preparing to set a ceiling on the prices of oil and oil derivatives by limiting the margin, as it had already done with the prices of basic foodstuffs.
