New furnace in Guca Industrial Complex's smelter - About EUR 2.5 million worth of investments in 2012

In Guca Industrial Complex, which is part of the Farmakom MB Group, the first phase of an investment program will be completed in 2012, and another EUR 2.5 million will be invested in the capacity boost and the production modernization.
As this company announced, works on the construction of a recycling center are already underway. Once completed, it will be preparing materials for smelting at both Guca-based smelter and Farmakom's smelter in Pozega.
Also, a new moulding line for grey and nodular cast iron, worth EUR 1.5 million, will be put in operation in early Q2 2012.
The company also plans to build furnace and fireplace production halls during this year, as well as additional facilities where auxiliary equipment for that range of products will be produced, which will enable a continuous production of 30,000 to 50,000 furnaces and fireplaces a year. The value of that project exceeds EUR 0.5 million.
Guca Industrial Complex CEO Radovan Ilic won the Manager of the Year award, which was presented to him on February 6th by the Club of Business Journalists.
New induction furnace
This company, whose core activity is the production of grey, nodular and tempered cast iron, put into operation on February 1st a new induction furnace at its smelter, with the capacity of 4-6 tonnes of smelted cast iron per hour.
- The smelter's capacity has been doubled in this way, and the value of this investment is EUR 900,000 - Guca Industrial Complex announced.
