2005, Italian "Golden lady" had factory of socks, women's underwear and bathing suits built in Valjevo - €9m
Within two years, in village of Beloševac near Valjevo, on surface of 5 ha, which was used as the ground for sowing of wheat and corn, Italian company ``Golden lady``, European leader in production of socks from Costinoma de la Stiviera, near Montova, had the up-to-date factory for production of socks, women's underwear and women's bathing suit built and equipped.
Factory whose surface is 11,000 square meters hired 450 young citizens of Valjevo. ``Golden lady`` annually produces up to 400 million pair of socks. Official opening of the factory will take place in Summer of 2005. Until then, all the units, from weaving and coloring to the packaging unit, will have been put into operation.
Valjevo-based Socks Factory is interested in cooperation with the suppliers from Serbia, first of all on the design of the packaging.
