Negotiations between "Zastava" and representatives of "Fiat" on assembling of "punto" vehicles in Kragujevac-based factory are to be continued at the end of March 2005. The business in question is assembling of 10,000 "punto" vehicles on annual basis, as well as transfer of Italian technology to Kragujevac.

According to unofficial sources, European Commission has already given agreement in principle on support of survival of Serbia's automobile industry.

On March 28, 2005, "Zastava's" factory will be visited by businessmen from India who signed protocol on intention of, according to principle of assembling of parts, bringing "Zastava's" "stojadin", innovated and adapted to the demands of that market, back to life.
