European Investment Bank approved credit of 40 million EUR to Belgrade-based Banca Intesa, all means intended for development entrepreneurship, health care and education in Serbia

Vice president of European Investment Bank (EIB), Đerlando Đenuardi, and director general of Banca Intesa Belgrade, Draginja Đurić, have signed the contract on approval of investment credit of 40 million EUR by EIB.

Thanks to these means, Banca Intesa will be approving long-term investment credits to small and mid-sized enterprises and local self-managements in Serbia, but certain part of them will be intended for financing of health care, education, sport and leasing.

The credits will be approved with the repayment period of 15 years and interest rate of 5 - 7% on annual basis. Certain investment projects will be financed by both EIB and Banca Intesa, i.e. half of the means will be provided by EIB and the other half will be provided by Banca Intesa.

So far, EIB have already approved 125 million EUR worth of 7 loans to Serbian commercial banks, thanks to which 1,000 people in Serbia got jobs.
