Kikinda-based Banini has obtained EUR 1 million through the Ministry of Economy's Programme of investment incentives for the construction of a new confectionery plant in the municipality of Kikinda where 200 people will get jobs.

An agreement on the allotment of non-refundable funds in the amount of EUR 5,000 per each newly employed person will be signed on Thursday in Kikinda between Minister of Economy Nebojsa Ciric and representatives of Banini.

The investment envisages the construction of a new 18,400-square-meter production hall, as well as the procurement and installation of confectionery production and packaging lines.

Banini has 350 workers and registers an annual turnover of about EUR 20 million.

This confectioner exports 20 percent of all products, while its most important export markets are CEFTA members. Banini also exports its products to Russia, Sweden, the USA, and Australia.
