Egypt Mostly Interested in Import of Wheat and Fruit from Serbia – Priority to Establish Free Trade Agreement
During the conversation, they agreed that one of the priorities was to establish a free trade agreement, which would make the prices of agricultural-food products more competitive, especially in the fruit sector, affected by high customs rates, it is said on the website of the Government of Serbia.
Tanaskovic expressed her gratitude for Egypt’s recognition of the potential of the Serbian agriculture and for having provided the opportunity to Serbia to export wheat and fruit to that country and added that she hoped that Serbia would also get the opportunity to expand the cooperation to beef and dairy products.
Salah pointed out that the agricultural-food products from Serbia which are exported to the market of Egypt were of high quality, especially concerning wheat grains.
Also, Egypt is interested in exporting citrus fruits to the Serbian market and in cooperating in the field of plant protection, says the announcement by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.
