Jojić brothers, members of Microsoft team, close to invention of vaccine against AIDS ?
Brothers Nebojša and Vladimir Jojić from Užice, members of Microsoft team in USA, together with Dr. David Heckerman, are close to invention of vaccine against AIDS, hepatitis C and other mutating viruses, which would help biologists invent vaccine against that disease. This team has been working on the project for two years and their work resulted in discovery of algorithm code for decoding of changes in that group of viruses.
At the moment, the vaccines are being checked in laboratories in Seattle, Boston, Harvard and Austria, so that the public will know their efficiency, if there are any, within next 6 months.
Nebojša was born in Užice in 1971. He has been working in USA since 1995. He finished primary school in Užice, Mathematics Grammar School and Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade, he enrolled in post-graduate studies in Chicago. Invited by professor Tom Huang, he continued his studies at the University of Illinois in Urbano, where he took PhD degree. Then he was hired by Microsoft.
Vladimir, who is six years younger than Nebojša, finished Mathematics Grammar School, enrolled in Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Belgrade, and after two years he went to Illinois, where he graduated and took MA degree. Then he joined Microsoft team and is now preparing PhD dissertation defense.
Their parents, Gordana (economist) and Miroljub (landscape architect), still live in Užice.
