Line Production of Local Tractor from Majevica Next Year

Since the beginning of the year, Majevica near Backa Palanka has employed 70 new workers and expanded the production, so it now exports to 40 countries of the world.

From next year, at the factory, line production of the only local tractor in Serbia is expected. As Sremska Televizija reports, the tractor will be available for sale exclusively in a package with operating machines and the procurement of a tractor with seven operating machines required for the operations of each agricultural property will cost around EUR 100,000. This is a project that has been developed exclusively with the funds of Majevica and through the work of the employees at this local company.

The financing of the procurement of this tractor will be done with the help of a loan and through an exchange for grains or other goods and the parities will be agreed directly with the company, so, without a mediator, except in the case of credit financing. According to the data of the Business Association of Agricultural Machinery Importers and Exporters, in Serbia, in the first three quarters, 3,500 tractors were sold, which is a record in the past 30 years and more. The majority of the new tractors was bought with the help of state incentives.

The Majevica factory was founded in 1905, and today, after 117 years, 150 employees work there. Five years ago, a successful privatization was carried out.
