The Austrian company Rail Cargo Group plans to expand its operations in Serbia by operating high-quality and attractively priced rail transport services with its own locomotives and personnel. During the annual RCG press conference, ÖBB CEO Andreas Matthä and Clemens Först, Spokesman of the Board of Management of ÖBB Rail Cargo Group, said that Serbia would become the 13th country in Europe where RCG will operate rail transport services, and this development makes it possible to offer TransFER connections heading for Turkey and Greece.

– Another carrier company was also founded in Belgrade and is scheduled to start operations in the first quarter of 2023 – says the company’s official website.

From January 1, 2023, RCG will have a branch office in Shanghai. The transport route along the middle corridor (Kazakhstan–Azerbaijan/Georgia–Black Sea–Romania–Central Europe) will be further expanded. With this, RCG can offer its customers end-to-end logistics from Europe to Asia from a single source.
